Leurs travaux, publi\u00e9s dans la revue scientifique Cell Metabolism, ne\u00a0repr\u00e9sentent pas \u00e0 ce jour une perspective\u00a0de traitement, mais un espoir vers une gu\u00e9rison des malades <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">le traitement du sida se fait gr\u00e2ce aux antir\u00e9troviraux, d\u00e9couverts dans les ann\u00e9es 1990 et utilis\u00e9s pour bloquer l&rsquo;infection, mais ils n&rsquo;\u00e9liminent pas le VIH<\/span> de l&rsquo;organisme. Les malades doivent prendre leur traitement \u00e0 vie car ces m\u00e9dicaments ne permettent pas de d\u00e9truire les r\u00e9servoirs du virus, log\u00e9s dans les cellules immunitaires, les lymphocytes T\u00a0CD4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emp\u00eacher l&rsquo;infection des cellules<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les chercheurs ont<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> remarqu\u00e9 que le virus n&rsquo;infectait pas tous ces lymphocytes T\u00a0CD4<\/span> et, jusqu&rsquo;ici, ils ne comprenaient pas pourquoi. Dans cette \u00e9tude, ils sont parvenus \u00e0 identifier les caract\u00e9ristiques des lymphocytes T\u00a0CD4 qui se font pr\u00e9f\u00e9rentiellement infecter par le virus, et dont l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 m\u00e9tabolique permet au virus de se propager.<\/p>\n<p>Ces cellules ont la particularit\u00e9 de consommer davantage de glucose pour produire de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie. Les exp\u00e9riences ont montr\u00e9 que plus l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 m\u00e9tabolique de la cellule est forte, plus sa consommation en glucose est \u00e9lev\u00e9e, et plus elle est susceptible d&rsquo;\u00eatre infect\u00e9e par le VIH. D&rsquo;o\u00f9 l&rsquo;id\u00e9e des scientifiques de bloquer l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 de ces lymphocytes, ceux qui se font pr\u00e9f\u00e9rentiellement infecter par le virus. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Quand leur activit\u00e9 est bloqu\u00e9e, ces cellules r\u00e9sistent \u00e0 l&rsquo;infection et, \u00e0 terme, cela permet d&rsquo;\u00e9liminer le VIH<\/span>. En laboratoire, les lymphocytes sont parvenus \u00e0 bloquer l&rsquo;infection gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des inhibiteurs d&rsquo;activit\u00e9 m\u00e9tabolique, d\u00e9j\u00e0 explor\u00e9s en canc\u00e9rologie.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Ces travaux repr\u00e9sentent un pas important vers la consid\u00e9ration d\u2019une r\u00e9mission<\/span> possible gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9limination des cellules r\u00e9servoirs.Communiqu\u00e9 de l&rsquo;Institut Pasteur.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab\u00a0C&rsquo;est <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">une premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape int\u00e9ressante<\/span> mais nous ne sommes <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">pas au stade o\u00f9 \u00e7a peut \u00eatre applicable \u00e0 l&rsquo;homme dans un futur proche<\/span>. Il faut<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> poursuivre les recherches et cette publication est un espoir suppl\u00e9mentaire\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/em> vers une gu\u00e9rison du sida, a r\u00e9agi sur franceinfo le sp\u00e9cialiste des maladies infectieuses et <strong>professeur \u00e0 l&rsquo;h\u00f4pital Saint-Louis \u00e0 Paris, Jean-Michel Molina<\/strong>.
